PURPOSE:To provide a new peptide having specific reactivity and high binding performance to diuretic hormone and useful as a treating agent or clinical examination agent for hypertension and circulatory diseases and an inhibitor for the physiological and biochemical investigation of diuretic hormone. CONSTITUTION:A peptide and its salt (e.g. the peptide of formula III) bindable to diuretic hormone and containing a continuous sequence of at least 4 amino acids existing in the amino acid sequence of formula I or formula II. The peptide can be produced e.g. by chemical synthesis using a solid-phase process or liquid-phase process or by biological synthesis comprising the preparation of a DNA vector containing a DNA chain capable of coding the peptide, the transformation of a cultured procaryotic cell or eucaryotic cell with the vector and the production of the peptide by the transformant. |
