The invention relates to a demountable structure for a marquee, covered market stall, tent or the like, comprising a succession of portable frames (2) which are equidistant from one another and joined by means of longitudinal members (3, 4, 5). These portable frames (2) are made up of a truss (6) composed of two rafters (7, 8) converging at their upper end (9) and resting at their lower end (10, 11) on posts (12, 13). In fact, this demountable structure is characterised in that it includes bracing members (15, 16) resting on the ground, outside the structure (1) and bearing on the upper part (20) of the posts (12, 13) of each portable frame (2). This invention will find its application in the field of demountable constructions such as covered market stalls, marquees, tents or the like. <IMAGE>
