Sports shoe with coated metal studs - sprayed with ceramic and anti-stick coatings

Sports shoe has studs (12) projecting from the underside of the sole (11), the studs consisting of a metal body (30), with threaded section (22) screwing into the sole and a tip section (20) with a coating. The coating consists of a sprayed bond coat, pref. of Ni alummide, Ni-Cr etc., over which a ceramic hard coating is sprayed, pref. consisting of carbide or oxide ceramic e.g. W carbide, Al oxide, etc. A final anti-stick coating consists pref. of a fluoroethylene polymer. ADVANTAGE - Advantages of metal studs combined with long life of ceramic.
