Monitoring ageing state of oxygen probe connected before catalytic converter for combustion engine -
摘要
The method involves using an oxygen probe which produces an actual signal for the engine's lambda regulator. The monitoring is based on the time average of the difference between the actual and reference values. The probe is judged to be excessively aged when this time averaged value falls below a defined threshold. Alternatively, the value compared with a threshold can be the above time averaged value divided by the time averaged value of the difference between the actual and desired output values of the lambda regulator. ADVANTAGE - Errors are eliminated by suspending computations during intermittent engine operations.
