<p>The apparatus comprises a cylindrical wooden batten 30, with hand grips 20, to which is attached a nylon rope which carries a weight holder 16. The user rotates the batten to raise and lower the weight, thus strengthening the forearm, wrist and grip. Spacers may be provided to enable weights with a larger central hole to be used.
