Blocking elements for drawers are fastened on a vertical turning-rod, with control for opening and closing via controls on each drawer and by a pressure cylinder, in a central locking system with double draw-out stop unit, for cupboards containing drawers, and writing-desks. A curtaining piece (5) is height-adjustable clampable on the rod (4). When the closing cylinder (1) is turned, the sidepiece (6) of this is engaged by the thread-type curved control piece (7) of a lug (8) on the inside cylinder (9). This turns the rod into the blocking position, where a switching lever (11) is height adjustably clamped on each drawer (10). The rod is pref. flat. The mechanism is flat and easily mounted.
