PURPOSE:To move a cursor at high speed by simultaneously moving the cursor by full-size width. CONSTITUTION:This device is equipped with a document storage means 1 to store character information containing blank characters, display means 2 to display the character information, means to store the position of the cursor, cursor display means 3 to display the cursor at the stored position, means to instruct the move of the cursor by a prescribed unit, cursor moving means 4 to move the cursor while receiving the instruction, character size shift means 5 to store an input character size, means to judge whether the input character size is larger than the prescribed unit or not when the move of the cursor is instructed, means to judge a moving direction, means to judge whether the prescribed number of blank characters are continued in the moving direction while containing the cursor position before the move or not when the moving direction is judged as a digit direction, and means to execute control for moving the cursor for a unit larger than the prescribed unit when it is judged that the input character size is larger than the prescribed unit and the prescribed number of blank characters are continued. |
