Method for treating gases which are released during an aerobic composting process, consisting in guiding the gases through a bio-filter, an operation preceded by conditioning of the gases; the conditioning preferably comprises scrubbing the gases and cooling them to a temperature of at most approx. 35 degree C, followed by humidifying of the gases until a relative humidity of 100% is reached, and a device for treating gases which are released during an aerobic composting process using this method.
