1. Method for spectrophotometric measurement of concentrations of aerosol and gaseous air pollutants, in particular in ventilation systems, under which radiation is beamed into the measurement area and back to photodetectors, characterised in that pulse radiation is beamed into the measurement area, whose energy per one measurement is determined with an additional photometric control system, whose radiation is beamed into the measurement area coaxially with pulse radiation, and the signal of that additional photometric system is used for increasing or reducing energy of pulse radiation by increasing or reducing that signal respectively, and moreover, an electric signal corresponding with the intensity of radiation reversely dispersed from the measurement area, after that radiation has attained a predetermined alarm level, is used to switch off the emission of pulse radiation.<IMAGE>
