<p>The invention includes an intraocular lens having lens element (10), haptics (11, 11') and two dissimilar metals or salt compounds thereof, each on a respective side of the lens in any of several forms such as metallic rings (14, 15) platings (A, B) or coatings (24, 25). The electrolytic action provided by the presence of these dissimilar metals in the eye impedes the secondary growth of tissue within the eye.</p> |
