The power measurement device acquires measurement data using a thermal balance computation involving the measured carburetted fuel and exhaust gas temp. values. The thermal balance computation is performed with the aid of a user program. The measurement values are acquired using existing transducers of the digital engine electronics. The acquired power curves are displayed via a connected evaluation computer. USE/ADVANTAGE- Primarily for use in engine development. Enables less costly measurement without mechanical engagement into fixture of engine.
