PROCESS FOR PREPARATION OF POLYESTER COPOLYMER

The polyester copolymer is prepd. by polycondensation of the products manufactured by esterification or ester exchanging reaction of bi-functional carboxylic acid or its eater formable deriv. with glycol. In the process, 3-9 mol % of hydroxy dimethyl isophthalate or hydroxy isophthalic acid (w.r.t. the bi-functional carboxylic acid or its ester formable deriv.) is added in the esterification or ester exchanging reaction process. Pref. the glycol is C2-12 straight or branched chain or alliphatic or aromatic glycol. The obtd. polyester copolymer has improved dyeable properties.
