PURPOSE:To automatically adjust parameters for object position and attitude detection by the visual sensor. CONSTITUTION:Image data generated by photographing an object are stored in an auxiliary storage device and the stored image data are read out (S12). The position and attitude of the object are found from instruction parameters (S13). The parameter data is found and stored from the detected position (S14, S15). The processing is performed for all stored images (S16 and S17) and optimum values such as the mean value of the found parameter data, etc., is found. The respective optimum values are used as new instruction parameter data (S18). The parameter data are adjusted by using many object images, so the position and attitude of the object can easily and accurately be detected and a failure in the detection is reduced. |
