ADDRESSING SYSTEM FOR MATRIX OPTICAL SWITCH

PURPOSE:To realize a large scale and small sized matrix optical switch with high reliability by eliminating an electric wiring for addressing on a switch board. CONSTITUTION:An optical switch having a reflecting mirror 21 is provided to cross points where plural input optical paths 26 and plural output optical paths 27 on a switch board 24 are in crossing, the input optical path and the output optical path passing through the cross point are connected by the selection of the optical switch at the prescribed cross point to set the optical path, and in the matrix optical switch as above, a selection optical signal generated from other selection optical signal generating board 25 than the switch board 24 is used as an address signal and the optical signal is used to select the optical switch at the prescribed cross point.
