<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ink having excellent clogging-preventing effect by adding an alkylamine salt of a saturated dicarboxylic acid and an alkanolamine to an ink and to provide an ink-jet recording method capable of recording on a plain paper by using the above ink. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink contains (A) a recording agent, (B) a liquid medium for dissolving or dispersing the component A, preferably a mixture of 30-95wt.% (based on the composition) of water and 1-40wt.% of a water-soluble organic solvent (e.g. triethanolamine), (C) 0.1-10wt.% of an alkylamine salt of a saturated dicarboxylic acid (e.g. succinic acid triethylamine salt) and (D) 0.1-15wt.% of an alkanolamine (e.g. triethanolamine). The ink prepared by the above process is ejected by the action of thermal energy corresponding to the recording signal using an ink-jet recording apparatus furnished with an ink holder and a recording unit having a recording head to eject the ink in the form of ink droplets. A good record can be formed on a plain paper, etc., by this method.</p> |
