PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive mapping-image displaying circuit, which can perform data processing for displaying the element mapping image at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A gradation converting table and a tone table are provided at the output side of a CPU 2, which reads out element mapping data (a) stored in an element mapping memory 1. A gradation converting memory 4, wherein the converted gradation value and the ratio of the three colors of R, G and B are written beforehand with the CPU 2, is provided. The element mapping data (a) which are read out with the CPU 2 undergo the gradation conversion in the gradation conversion memory 4. Thereafter the tone is converted, The data (d) after the tone conversion are outputted into a frame memory 6. At this time, a first latch 3 for temporarily holding the element mapping data, which are read out with the CPU 2, is connected between the CPU 2 and the gradation conversion memory 4. A second latch 5, which temporarily holds the data (c) after the gradation conversion with the gradation conversion table in the gradation conversion memory, can be provided at the output side of the gradation conversion memory 4. |
