PURPOSE:To increase thermal sensitivity and enable data to be thermally recorded even using a low-output laser by adding to a thermal sensitive layer an infrared absorption color with high infrared laser absorption efficiency and also high laser beam energy/thermal energy conversion efficiency. CONSTITUTION:A thermal sensitive layer formed consists of a colorless coloring component A, a colorless coloring component B which becomes tinted through a chemical reaction with the component A and an infrared absorption color on a base. At least, one of the coloring components is microcapsulated, and at the same time, the infrared absorption color used is such as expressed by the formula. (Z<1> and Z<2> are an atomic group required for forming a heterocycle containing nitrogen and these can be mutually the same as or different from the other; Z<3> is a divalent hydrogen group required for forming a 5- or 6-membered ring; R<1> and R<2> are H and an alkyl group and can be mutually the same as or different from the other; A is O, S, an imino group and a divalent organic residual group; l, m, n are an integer of 0 or 1; and p, q are an integer of 0 to 2). |
