<p>PURPOSE:To miniaturize a septic tank by selecting a contact material having a large aerobic capacity delivered from the aerobic contact materials based on the contact angle to water and the measured surface potential, and by setting the single contact material or the combination of the contact materials in an aeration tank. CONSTITUTION:The capacity of the contact material varies generally with the soluble org. matter and suspended org. matter, and the contact angle to water and surface potential also vary with the water when the contact material is selected. Accordingly, a contact material excellent in removing soluble org. matter and that excellent in removing suspended org. matter are preferably used in an aeration tank at the same time. As a result, the contact material is selected from the aerobic contact materials based on the contact angle to water and the measured surface potential, an acrylic-resin plate 14 having a large aerobic capacity for the soluble org. matter is set in the front aeration tank 16 between the aeration tanks 16 divided in the spetic tank, and a PVC contact plate 15 having a large aerobic capacity for the suspended org. matter is set in the rear aeration tank 16.</p> |
