PURPOSE:To cut a panel having a notched part on a cutting line without releasing a nozzle of a laser beam cutting device to regulate the height of the nozzle by a capacitive proximity sensor. CONSTITUTION:Thick paper 6 having the almost same shape as the notched part 4 is applied to the notched part 4 on the cutting line of the panel 3 and metal tapes 7 are stuck along the cutting line to both sides including the notched part 4 of the panel 3. The panel 3 is then set on the laser beam cutting device and cut into a specified shape along the preset cutting line. When the nozzle 2 of the laser beam cutting device passes above the notched part 4 along the cutting line, the metal tapes 7 are detected by the capacitive proximity sensor of the laser beam cutting device, the height of the nozzle 2 is regulated and hence the nozzle 2 does not interfere with the panel 3. Although the thick paper 6 is burned and cut by a laser beam, since both sides of the panel 3 are covered with the metal tapes 7, burning does not spread all over. |
