PURPOSE:To form a protective layer on the whole surface of an image receiving layer where an image is formed and to attempt to improve appearance, heat deformation, adhesiveness and curl by using a heat roll with a contact length being larger than the width of an image receiving layer and a length of circumference being longer than the length of the image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:Hot stamping is performed by using a heat roller 1 having a contact length being longer than the width M of an image receiving layer. A heat-sensitive transfer sheet 3 for a protective layer is laminated on an image receiving sheet 2 for heat-sensitive transfer recording in such a way that the image receiving layer is brought into contact with the latter protective layer and pressing and heating are performed on the heat-sensitive transfer sheet 3 for the protective layer by means of a heat roller 1. In addition, it is necessary that the length of the circumference of the heat roller 1 is longer than the length of a card. Namely, if the diameter of the heat roller 1 is 1r and the length of the card of the hot stamp in the transfer direction is 1c, 1c<pi1r. |
