<p>PURPOSE: To affect a suitable influence to outflow characteristics of a gas flowing from a pressure vessel to a gas bag to protect a passenger of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: Outflow valves of pressure vessels 1, 2, 3 are connected to housings of the vessels 1, 2, 3 in a predetermined breaking zone 8 and contain pistons 5 extending to a pyrotechnic system arranged in the vessel interior. Influencing the outflow characteristics of the gas flowing out of the vessel into an air bag in a controlled manner during opening movement of the valve is attained because the valve contains a control body 7 which adjoins the predetermined braking zone 8 and extends in the direction of the system and the cross section of which changes in the axial direction of the valve.</p> |
