The clamping aperture (3) of the cutting clamp (1) is produced by shearing and is jagged in profile. One of the two jaws is modified at the base in such a way that its free end is lengthened or shortened. The two jaws are thus offset against each other and the aperture is widened in places, narrowed in others. This ensures that the connecting wire (6) is securily held in the clamping aperture (3).
