PURPOSE:To facilitate the visual confirmation of an obstruction in response to the condition of weather and the road surface, and realize the travelling with the safety feeling. CONSTITUTION:Position of a vehicle is detected, and a central processing device computes the lighting range 110 to be lit by a head light 201 of the vehicle. The road condition is detected, and when the road is dried, the lighting range 110 is lit by road floodlights 5a-5c with the flux distribution characteristic directing the front of the vehicle travelling direction. The ahead range 112, 114 are lit by the flux distribution directing downward or this side. In the range 110, the contrast is not denied to make the contrast by the road floodlights effective. When the road is wet, the range 110 is lit by the road floodlights with the flux distribution directing this side to supply the head light without reflection from the road. |
