<p>PURPOSE:To easily select image data on a display screen by segmenting and compressing the image data into parts, and displaying plural parts as a list in a window on the display screen at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A computer 2 inputs and displays the inputted image data on the screen of a CRT display device 22, and performs a trimming process once supplied with a command for trimming from a keyboard 23. Further, when a command for segmenting is supplied from the keyboard 23, the computer 2 decides which of segmenting by drawing and automatic segmenting the command indicates, and generates mask data for hiding a background by using a mouse 25 or mask data shielding the outside of a pattern by extracting the contour of the pattern. Then the mask data is represented with vectors and compressed, and parts names and parts numbers from the keyboard 23 are used as indexes to store the image data and mask data in an external storage device 4.</p> |
