<p>PURPOSE:To prevent discharge deterioration on the element surface while improving the clamp-proof and surge-proof characteristic. CONSTITUTION:After forming a varister element laminated body 5 surrounded by a varister composite sintered body 4 excepting the part connecting the inner electrodes 2 to the outer electrodes 7, this laminated body 5 is encircled in powder, in which univalent oxide fine powder such as Cu2C, Li2O, Ag2O or K2O is dispersed in crystal grains of Al2O3 or MgO followed by heat treatment and the outer surface of the element laminated body 5 is insulated.</p> |
