摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To mask uncorrectable error at a minimum. CONSTITUTION:A predictive difference encoding code and the error correcting code are inputted to an input terminal 110. An error correcting circuit 112 corrects the error of the predictive difference encoding code. Representative value setting circuits 114-120, a switch 122, an adder 124, a predicter 126 and switching control circuit 128 decode the predictive difference encoding code. Corresponding to an error signal from the error correcting circuit 112, monostable multivibrators 138-144 generate pulses in various cycles. A D flip-flop 136 and a switch 146 select the outputs of the monostable multivibrators 138-144 according to the high-order two bits of the decoded value. Although a switch 132 normally selects the output (decoded value) of an adder 124, the switch selects the output of a 1H delay device 130 (namely, the corresponding value of a preceding line) during the output pulse period of the switch 146.</p>
