PURPOSE:To always make a user free from anxiety and to improve the operability of the user who actually registers a document by preventing omission of communication or the like in the case that the document is not normally registered in a storage part. CONSTITUTION:If text reception fails because of communication error or the like, a text for destination name insertion stored in a storage part 4 is not registered in a designated telephone number file and all information is abandoned. A report indicating a failure or text registration is generated with a character code by a report generating part and is transmitted to a facsimile equipment of an extension F1 as the registration request source. When the system is started after power-on, the text registration condition from a stored text management part to each FCB number is read out, and FCB numbers of texts registered in telephone number files by a telephone number management part are read out, and both of them are compared with each other to extract and erase FCB numbers which are not used. |
