PURPOSE:To provide a heat exchanger with such a structure as to prevent air leakage from the attaching part of the ridge part of the heat exchanging part and a frame for retaining the ridge part thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a heat exchanger 11 having the upper and lower surfaces of a heat exchanging part 10 covered with plates 13 and L-shaped frames 14 fitted on the four ridge parts 75 thereof, an elastic sealing member 16 is attached to the inside of the L-shaped frame 14 and then coated with a viscous sealing agent 17 and the L-shaped frame is thereafter mounted on the heat exchanging part 10. The viscous sealing agent 17 enters the gaps between the stacked parts of the heat exchanging part 10 by the reactive force of the elastic sealing member 16 to complete the sealing of the ridge part 15, thereby preventing air leakage from the frame attaching part. |
