A fold type stapler extensible twice the length consists of a rear body (5), an upper body (1), a lower body (2), an upper steel strip (3) and a lower steel strip (4). The upper and lower bodies are movablly inserted onto both the upper and lower steel strips supported by the rear body. The upper and lower bodies provide a guide way and a guide home for each steel strip, and two pairs of elastic projections to be engaged with concave parts formed on the steel strips. This stapler has a size equal to a common stapler, but it may be used for stapling the part of the paper on the inner side.
