Automatic development of cine film takes place within its own cassette. The cassette contains a chamber for the developer and an applicator to apply an even layer to the surface of the film. Cassette spools carry the film in the usual way. The cassette is conventional except for the developer applicator and storage vessel. The film passes under a nozzle through which the developer is dispensed. The flow rate is determined by various flaps and lips covering the chamber opening in which the developer is stored. The film can be shown after development without being taken out of its cassette.
