The two parts (3, 4) have an overlapping seam which runs along a hoop to which they are fixed. The end of the rear roof section (3) together with the overlapping end of the front section (4) are folded together and are clamped on the corner hoop (9). Positioning straps which pull the corner hoop up and which extend from the rear section are formed into loops which fit over the front hoop (8). ADVANTAGE - Two-part folding car roof is prevented from becoming slack in the rear corner sections.
