Mfg. method for bushings or linear guides with pockets for rolling bearing elements, similar to bearing cages, whereby the bushing is built up from several coaxial rings or the linear guide from rectangular elements with semi-spherical or semi-cylindrical recesses in their contact surfaces, which together with the adjacent element form spherical or cylindrical pockets. Individual elements are first precision moulded; the rolling elements (balls, cylindrical rollers, needle rollers, spherical rollers) are inserted and the elements are joined together to form bushing or linear guide. Pref. the rings or rectangular elements are produced by injection moulding and bushing or linear guide is built up from two or more such elements. The pockets in adjacent elements are staggered relative to each other. The rings or linear elements are joined by socket or snap connection or by welding (ultrasonic, friction, thermal, laser) or by adhesive or by rivetting (esp. ultrasonic) or by screw fastening. USE/ADVANTAGE - Provides an economic mfr. for rolling bearing bushings and linear guides of high quality and service life.
