Accelerator by high-voltage ignition for a motor vehicle, comprising a main charge circuit (1), a diode-capacitor circuit (2), a secondary charge circuit (3), and a noise-suppression circuit (4), in which a high voltage originating from an ignition coil (10) is sent through these three circuits so as to be discharged at the terminals of an ignition spark plug (5) for a main ignition, and, at the same time, a part of the high voltage is used to charge capacitors (11, 22, 31) of the main charge circuit (1), of the diode-capacitor circuit (2) and of the secondary charge circuit (3), in such a way that the discharge resistors (12, 32) of the main (1) and secondary (3) charge circuits instantaneously discharge the high voltage for a secondary ignition, and the inverse voltage originating from the ignition spark plug (5) serves to charge the capacitor (31) of the secondary charge circuit (3) and to drive the diodes (21, 23) of the diode-capacitor circuit (2) so as to compensate for the current. <IMAGE>
