The invention relates to a safety device for a motor vehicle. This device comprises a system of sensors I arranged at points on the vehicle. These sensors are arranged at the front, at the rear, on the right and left sides and under the roof. In the event of impact, the device makes it possible, by means of a relay II, to trigger the opening of an electromechanical assembly III with the purpose of protecting the passengers.
