A integral beverage stirrer which incorporates the pitcher and a hand driven geared stirrer assembly in which the geared mechanism is mounted inside the lid of the pitcher. In a beverage pitcher and stirrer, it has been proposed to provide a internal direct drive stirrer device to mix directly into the pitcher any beverage. In this invention the stirrer device is a integral stirrer assembly, hand driven through a geared mechanism of two gear wheels mounted and being part and parcel of the lid. The stirrer assembly is composed of the gear wheel mechanism, the rotating shaft and the mixing element. The geared mechanism is composed of a small gear wheel, interlocked with the top end of the shaft, and of a larger internal gear wheel attached to the lid. The rotating shaft is supported at the bottom center of the pitcher and is driven by the gear wheel mechanism incorporated in the lid. The mixing element is a multiple blade screw type propeller attached to the bottom section of the rotating shaft. Additionally the outside body of the internal gear wheel is used to hand drive the stirrer assembly and the lid is particularly designed to totally enclose the gear wheel mechanism. When the handle is activated, the rotating motion transmitted by the gear wheel mechanism is increased approximately six times and is transmitted by the shaft to the mixing element.
