<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic fluid optical shutter having a uniform equiv. ratio in the entire region of a window in which light passes by impressing a magnetic field of the uniform intensity to the entire region of the window. CONSTITUTION:Plural thin-film magnetic heads 62 are provided for one piece of a shutter body 68 sealing magnetic fluid, by which a uniform magnetic field can be impressed to the entire part of the part to constitute the window for passing the light of the shutter body 68. The entire area of the window in which the light passes can, therefore, have the uniform transmittance of light. Further, the magnetic pole end of the thin-film magnetic head 62 is exposed in the shutter body 68 and the end of the magnetic pole is brought into direct contact with the magnetic fluid and, therefore, the utilization efficiency of the magnetic field is enhanced and the device is effectively miniaturized.</p> |
