<p>A heat exchanger comprises a pressure casing 11 containing tube bundles 12 arranged in parallel with the extent of the container, extending between opposite tube plates 13, 14 separating the inside of the container from collecting chambers 15, 16 into which the tubes emerge and which are joined respectively to inlet 17 and outlet 18 conduits for a fluid being cooled. Near the ends of the container 11 there are radially connected inlet 20 and outlet 21 conduits for a refrigerant fluid flowing in the container to lap the tube bundles. The tube plates 13, 14 have such thickness as allows them to be deformed under the normal operating loads. At least at the inlet side of the fluid being cooled, the tubes 12 are welded with their ends facing the internal surface of the respective plate at passages 32 crossing the plate. <IMAGE></p> |
