The coating is removed by evapn. with a stream of hot air at near the b.pt. of the oil, and below 210 deg.C, lasting about 10 seconds. A blowpipe (13) directs hot air from a fan (11) and heater (12) against the sample (3) in the measuring chamber (1). ADVANTAGE - Avoids organic solvent use.
