The appts. comprises a housing with a force or distance sensor and two carriers for receiving a rotatably mounted table (5) for holding a sample to be tested using a clamping plate. The table is held on both sides by a precision slide bearing (4), with the sample-receiving part (6) directly attached having a surface roughness greater than or equal to 20 micrometres. The front edge (14) of the sample-receiving part extends in the bend measuring position as far as the upper edge (15) of the sensor's contacting carrier. The clamping plate is formed as a cover (8) held by bolts (10) and springs (11). ADVANTAGE - Objective and reproducible results, by elimination of subjective influence of operator.
