All domestic water from kitchen, bathroom, etc. with the exception of that from flushing the toilet, which passes through the usual down-pipe to the sewer, is collected in a storage tank after passing through a disposable filter. The tank has hatches for addn. of chemicals to make the water suitable for garden irrigation, street cleaning, etc., and an overflow into the sewer for excess water.
