<p>PURPOSE:To provide a developer with at most one heating process and to improve dispersibility of various additives such as a magnetic powder, release agent, etc., by mixing a resin soln. and constitutional materials for the developer, drying the mixture and then pulverizing. CONSTITUTION:A resin soln. and constitutional materials such as a magnetic powder, release agent, etc., are mixed, then preferably heated and dried, and further pulverized. The amt. of the resin in the resin soln. is 15-65wt.%. The constitutional materials for the developer are added by 1-75wt.% to the resin amt. in the resin soln. and dried till the residual amt. of the solvent becomes <=200ppm. Thereby, heating process is required at most one time of the drying process, which decreases the process number and manpower, and decreases the production cost. Further, the amt. of the constitutional materials such as magnetic powder, release agent, etc., can be controlled to a desired value. Thereby, the obtd. developer shows good offset property, decrease in splashing of the toner, and small change in the density of picture images.</p> |
