PURPOSE:To prevent an erroneous transaction due to remaining cards by performing the card removal direction display for an operator when a card can not be removed automatically and taking the system as a customer waiting state when a card is removed. CONSTITUTION:When an error can not be cancelled in spite of the initializing of the device (in a customer waiting state) (S12) in addition to the normal transaction flow (S1 to S10) and the error-generated flow (S11 and S12), whether or not a card remains behind a card reader unit is judged (S13). When a card remains, a card removal direction display is performed for the operator (S14). When a card is removed by the operator and a jam removed key is judged to be depressed (S15), the unit is a customer waiting state (S16). Thus, when a card remains behind the card reader unit, this card can be removed from the card reader unit without fail. |
