<p>PURPOSE:To suppress drop rate of rotational speed by outputting a load increase signal when the load increase rate of generator exceeds a preset rate and outputting a voltage drop signal for a preset time in order to decrease the exciting current of the generator thereby decreasing the engine load instantaneously upon abrupt increase of load. CONSTITUTION:When the load increases abruptly due to throw in of load, for example, and the increase rate of output current of a generator 1 per unit time exceeds an increase rate preset in a setter 14, a current variation detecting circuit 13 outputs a load increase signal while a timer 5 and a transistor 16 output a voltage drop signal for a predetermined time set in a setter 18. The voltage drop signal actuates a relay 17 to close the contact 22 thereof thus decreasing the exciting current supply from an automatic voltage regulator 5 to an exciter 4 by a predetermined rate. Consequently, engine 2 load is alleviated and the drop rate of rotational speed can be suppressed within an allowable range.</p> |
