<p>PURPOSE:To extend memory life to the utmost by evenly writing the information to be stared in memory's storage area so as to efficiently use a memory. CONSTITUTION:An EEPROM 8 is provided with an error code area 8a which stores the error codes farmed in corresponding to write-in frequency, error code unit area 8b1-8b16 formed by dividing the error code area 8a into 15 sections and error code write counters 8b1-8b16 farmed in corresponding to the error code unit area 8b1-8b16. An error code write counter whose count value is smaller than that of other counters is retrieved and the error code unit area corresponding to that retrieved error code write counter is given priority for staring an error code.</p> |
