CONSTITUTION:A focal point evaluating value detecting means 10 detects the level of the prescribed frequency component of an image pickup video signal from an imaging device 2 at every prescribed time as a focal point evaluating value 8. When the focal point evaluating value 8 is changed, the detection is changed into a focusing operation again and until getting out of a lens low-speed driving area with a current lens stop position stored in a storage device 11 as an origin, however, a lens drive control means 7 drives a focus lens 1 through a focus motor 9 at low speed. |
