A polymer blend comprises a polyetherimide and 2-90 (pref. 2-75, esp. 5-30),wt.% of a siloxane polyetherimide copolymer. It may further contain fillers, pigments, reinforcing agents or their mixts. Specifically, the polyetherimide pref. contains repeating units of formula (I) where T = -O- or -O-Z-O- wherein the divalent bonds of the -O- or -O-Z-O- gps. are in the 3,3', 3,4', 4,3' or 4,4' positions; Z = one of cpds. of formulae (i)-(vii), and divalent organic radicals, B of general formula (II); where X = -CyH2y-, -C(=O)-, -S(=O)2-, -O-, -S-, where y = 1-5; and R = a divalent organic radical selected from (a) 6-20C aromatic hydrocarbon radicals and halogenated derivs. thereof, (b) 2-20C alkylene radicals, 3-20C cycloalkylene radicals, and (c) divalent radicals B above.
