PURPOSE:To permit an excellent ignition signal to be obtained without contact by using pulses from the electrodes provided on the first and second plates arranged so as to face each other. CONSTITUTION:The first plate 110 has the first and second electrodes alternately arranged at equal distances in the circumferential direction, together with the third, ring-shaped electrode. The second plate 120 has the fourth electrodes alternately arranged at equal distances in the circumferential direction so as to face the first and second electrodes, together with the fifth electrode arranged so as to face the third electrode. Signals having a given period and opposite phases are applied to the first and second electrodes respectively. Comparing the signal wave-form appearing on the third electrode when the second plate 120 rotates with reference signal permits a revolution signal to be obtained. |
