WATER-REPELLING POLYESTER FIBER CLOTH

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber cloth exhibiting water-repellency having excellent durability by coating the surface of a polyester fiber with a fluorine- containing amino-modified silicone interposing a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A polyester is immersed in an emulsified liquid containing 0.1-10%owf of a polyepoxide compound, preferably a polyglycidyl ether compound of a polyhydric alcohol and then treated with a treating liquid containing a fluorine-containing amino-modified silicone to obtain a polyester fiber coated with the silicone compound interposing the polyepoxide. The treated cloth has excellent washing resistance, dry-cleaning resistance and durability.
