PURPOSE:To prevent a poor ink supply and an occurrence of burr and foreign particles when a filter is fixed by a method wherein a filter fixing part provided with a projection part on the inner periphery thereof through a recessed part is thermally fused to the filter. CONSTITUTION:After a disk-form filter 1 is disposed on a filter fixing part 2 in an ink flow path in an ink jet recording head, the filter 1 is pressed from above by a thermally fusing jig 3, which is provided with a ring-form projection part 3a and preheated. As a result, heat is conducted from the projection part 3a to the filter 1 and the filter fixing part 2. A cylindrical part of the filter fixing part 2 is heated and fused to infiltrate into pores of the filter 1. The cylindrical part of the filter fixing part 2 is set to interlock with a filter fiber, whereby the filter 1 is fixed to the filter fixing part 2. |
