<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently mount an engine assembly on a body in a relatively small space by conveying the engine assembly in such a way that it is hung at such an attitude that its longitudinal direction is perpendicular to the direction in which engine assemblies are conveyed, and causing a 90 degrees turn of the engine assembly temporarily being hung and stopped at a transfer position. CONSTITUTION:The direction 11 in which bodies are conveyed and the direction 12 in which engine assemblies are conveyed are set as being parallel to each other and a body B can be temporarily stopped at a mounting position Pn1, Pn2 and is conveyed while being hung at such an attitude that its longitudinal direction is perpendicular to the direction 1 in which bodies are conveyed. An engine assembly E can be temporarily stopped at a transfer position PT1 PT2 and is conveyed while being hung at such an attitude that its longitudinal direction is perpendicular to the direction 12 in which engine assemblies are conveyed, and the engine assembly E temporarily stopped at a transfer position is turned by 90 degrees while being hung. After being turned the engine assembly E is transferred from the transfer position to the mounting position and is mounted in the body B being temporarily stopped at the mounting position.</p> |
